CREATIVE & WEBSITE ASSISTANT

OVERVIEW
Small (but mighty* 😉 website, design and content marketing agency is seeking to hire a quality individual to replace our staff member who will be leaving late Q1 2023. The Creative & Website Assistant provides important services for ongoing graphics, social media, and website services for clients and UmeWorks’ own marketing efforts. This individual also provides office administration support as needed. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE
UmeWorks is seeking a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in producing quality work.  The ideal candidate has graphic design skills, familiarity with social media content development, and basic website coding skills or the propensity to learn it. Must have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and generalize learnings to similar assignments. Must have sound judgement, and be professional, punctual, and dependable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide graphic, social media and website services for UmeWorks and its clients; and administrative support. Our goal is to help our clients be successful.

  1. Participate in weekly status meetings.
  2. Create assets for social media, blog posts, and print design.
  3. Publish social media assets and manage channels.
  4. Create and push campaigns in email marketing platforms.
  5. Content updates to websites.
  6. Perform monthly software maintenance on WordPress websites
  7. Write copy or submit assignments to writing agency for blog posts
  8. Answer telephone calls politely and assist callers.
  9. File documents as needed.
  10. Update business citations.
  11. Additional assignments as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience preferred in all areas outlined below. Must have experience in at least a few critical areas, and capable of learning rest quickly.

  • Graphics design
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva
  • Video creation and editing experience preferred (primarily for social media)
  • Dreamweaver
  • Basic Adobe Acrobat
  • Basic WordPress and HTML skills
  • Social media channel account management (FB, IG, Twitter, LI, Nextdoor, Google Business, TikTok) for businesses
  • Google Analytics set up
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Hootsuite or similar platform experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Home-based business in Torrance
  • Separate room/office for C&W Assistant
  • Smoke-free and drug-free workplace
  • Training will be conducted on-premises
  • Upon achieving competency requirement, hybrid work location agreement available

 

COMPENSATION
The starting salary range is $41,600 – $52,000; dependent on experience. Benefits include contributory medical insurance plan, paid vacation, paid holidays, and sick pay.
