We are thrilled to welcome Chris Mabanglo to the UmeWorks team as our new Creative Designer. Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience in graphic design, having worked in various industries such as apparel, food and beverage, and hospitality. He has experience working with both B2B and B2C clients, overseeing pre-production layouts, creating marketing collaterals and brand guidelines, and brainstorming ideas for social media content.

We are confident that Chris will be a great addition to the team. He will be creating assets and managing social media, designing online and print collateral, and keeping content fresh and optimized on websites. Along with his sunny disposition, Chris brings a can-do, diligent attitude, and a unique creative perspective to every project he works on. We look forward to seeing his talent in action and achieving great things together.

“I’m excited to see what challenges await me and the team at UmeWorks!” says Chris. “I look forward to assisting small businesses all around the LA community, providing creative solutions and high-quality output for every request.”

Currently residing in Norwalk, CA, Chris was born and raised in Carson, in sunny South Bay. When he’s not designing, he enjoys hunting for the latest sneakers, binge-watching (and drawing) anime (including reruns of The Office) and playing basketball in his free time. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jocelyn.

Happy Retirement, Kim

As we welcome Chris to our team, we also bid farewell and express our gratitude to Kim Hayashi, whom Chris is replacing. After several years working as a part-time contractor, and then as a full-time Production Assistant at UmeWorks, Kim is taking her well-deserved retirement. Kim has been an invaluable, loyal, and conscientious team member. She has been an essential player in our success over the years. We will miss her dearly.

Thank you for your contributions to UmeWorks, Kim. We wish you all the best in your retirement, spending time with your dog Rusty and your tortoise, gardening, KonMari-ing your home, and visiting friends and family.

And again, welcome to the team, Chris! Please drop a note to say “Hello!” to Chris.
